Jessica will share her passion for the Middle Ages on an estate at the cutting edge of biodynamic cultivation: a one-of-a-kind castle and a museum to discover with your family! Treat yourself to a journey through time. Accompanied by the winegrower, discover the ultra natural biodynamic wine growing techniques, for which she attained Demeter Biodynamic Certification. Continue to discover the estate by visiting the museum which displays tools that were once used on the property. Immerse yourself in the 1900s by entering the cellar-museum which is still intact and in working condition, making it an exceptional place not to be missed. The wines produced are certified organic and biodynamic.
She will share the secrets of her wines, before inviting you to taste her red, white and rosé wines as well as the Hypocras and the Saugé (flavoured wines based on medieval recipes ) in a medieval themed room. To make sure that children will also enjoy their visit to Château Nodot, we offer various fun and educational children’s activities on wine and winegrowing. After accompanying their parents to the wine museum where they will discover old tools, including a large cart loaded with barrels and a huge 60-year-old tractor, children will learn how to make wine by discovering the cellar-museum where all the equipment is still in working condition. After arriving at the contemporary wine cellar and having a look at the medieval tasting room, children will be able to take part in various fun and educational activities, solve riddles about their visit and take home a small gift as a souvenir of their time spent at Château Nodot.
